Anything Goes! Make a card for any holiday you choose, using any cartridge and colors you'd like. You'll have until Tuesday, August 2nd at midnight (EST) to enter your card using Mr. Linky below.

I decided to use the Doodlecharms cartridge again.  I chose the bunny on page 88.  I cut out the bunny and the blackout feature at 4.50.  I used the Peachy Keen stamp 1 3/8 face of Everyday Character.  The card is from Archiver's and cut at 4.25x7 and I used Me and My Big Ideas cut at 4.0x6.75.  I used Memento tuxedo black ink and used Eggs4Easter from Stamps of Life.

Okay fellow Crafters here is my take on this challenge.  Hope you enjoy the card.
I used 3 Birds in Parade (starting to be one of my favorite cartridges).  I chose the Santa on pg 43 and cut all pieces at 4.50 using my gypsy.  I used Stickles (X-mas Red) on the boots and hat and (Clear) on the beard and all areas that are white.  Peachy Keen Everyday Character Face Assortment for the face.  Micheals Recollection Kraft cardstock 4x6.  Tim Holtzs Stamper Anonymous "Mini Holidays 2" and his Distress Ink " fire brick".  Spellbinder Nestabilities Labels 8 (die #8 largest) and Petite Scalloped Ovals Large (#2) and Memento Ink Tuxedo Black.  The bird was cut from scraps that I have in a bin.  I am trying to go to my scrap bin first before reaching for new sheets of paper.  Mixture od Recollections, Brazzil and Archiver's cardstock.  Its mainly the paper I buy.  I also used a lot of pop dots to raise the bird and some lower profile pop dots for the "Merry Christmas".

Santa Spotted in July

Hello Fellow Crafters,
I created this card for a challenge but it was a little short on design and creativity.  So I am still going to upload it and put myself out there anyway.  As they say no risks...no gains.  I used the Doodlecharms cricut cartridge and I chose the Santa on page 127.  I also used my gypsy with this project.  I really love the gypsy.  It allows you to see how each pic will be laid out on the craft sheet and it allows you to place in specific areas to better maximize all of the page and it allows you to paper piece as well.  It also will let you see if your items will fit together well before you cut.  It cuts down on mistakes.  I cut the Santa and all of the layer out at 4.5.  I used Micheal's Recollection paper since I have a lot of it and I decided that I can't buy anymore paper till I use what I have on hand.  I also used glimmer mist "silver" on the beard.  I used 10mm Pom Poms.  I also cut the shadow but it was too small so you can't see it.  I used the shadow and a card base by sizing the Santa to 4.53, them copied and welded together.  It worked but it was too small.  I still used it.  I should have erased the eyes on the gypsy and just use Peachy Keen faces.  On the second Santa card I did just that for the face.

MFTWSC30

Welcome back Crafters! My Favorite Things have come up with their thirtieth sketch. They also have their new release coming next week, that it is a SUPER handy time to win a $15 gift certificate!
All you have to do is play along with this sketch and upload your creation to the Splitcoast Galleries by Tuesday, August 5th by noon EST using the keyword MFTWSC30.  Below is the sketch you have to follow with some creativity of your own.  My entry is listed below. Hope you like it.

The items used for this card are:
Bazzil Pink cardstock cut @ 4.0x8.5
Archivers Lime cardstock cut @ 3.75x8.25
Anna Griffin (AG902) Pink Brocade designer paper cut @ 3.50x7.0
Sizzix circles (lg) 38-0305
Sizzix frames, circle combo (lrg) 38-1065
Sizzix frame, scallop
Prima follower
Tattered Angels Chalkboard Glimmer mist - Polka Dot Pink and Evergreen
We R Memory Keepers Crop-a-Dile Corner Chomper - scallop
Memento inks: London Fog and Bamboo Leaves
Copic Markers: E00, R81, YG03 and Y19
Clear dew drop gem
Micheals dollar ribbon in pink and green
MFT Pure Innocence - Birthday Princess

I ended up using my scallop frame for the scallops since I do not have a scallop punch (very odd since it is a definite must for a scrapper).  I glimmer misted two colors at the same time (totally do  not recommend, very messy).  My copic color definitely needs a little work but I so enjoy coloring with them.  I am really proud of this card because I finally used my color chart....LoL.  I have only had it for 4 years and it was so very useful.

Pink Stamper Design Team Update

Hello Fellow Crafters,
Well I did not make the Pink stamper Design team but that is okay.  I was bummed but I saw all of the amazing projects and I still have a lot to learn and to master more techniques.  I checked out all the blog sights of the new deign team members.  Their sights are amazing and the projects they do are the same.  They participate in numerous challenges and have challenges of their own on their sight.  I am in the process of creating my very own bucket list.  As soon as I finish I will publish it here on the site. I have watched a few You Tube episodes on cataloging all of my stuff.  I have spent the weekend painting my daughter's room and cataloging.  The cataloging is allowing me to better organize my work space.  I can't seem to focus or be creative when my area is in disarray.  I still have a ways to go.  I am still deciding on if I am going to stamp ALL of my stamps and die cut dies.  So for now I am working on chalks/ink pads, stains, mists etc... I will post pictures here once I am done.  I am going to upload some pics from my first paint job.  Chris and I got a bug up our butt last Friday and bought paint and all the accessories from Sherwin Williams and went at it full force.  Now I can't wait to start on my other daughter's room.  Did not have a opportunity to craft this weekend so I am going through withdrawals.  I am still trying to find out how much this new Provocraft Cricut Mini will cost and if it is worth the investment but it does sound cool.  I have several goals in mind all of which will be on my list...pretty stoked about this since it will force me to sit down and give it a great deal of thought.  I don't have a set number in mind since I believe you should not limit your dreams....Have a great week my fellow Crafters and be CREATIVE....

Peachy Keen Challenge #56

Hello everyone, I created the above card from the Peachy Keen stamp challenge #56 (shown above as well).  I bought this set of stamps from Peachy Keen since my husband is from Janesville, Wisconsin.  I used Brazzil cardstock (5.5x11) folded to 5.5x5.5.  I used Derwent Studio colour pencils (36 pack), Memento London Fog and Versafine onyx black.  The ribbon came from Micheal's dollar bin.  I definitely need to work on my coloring techniques.  Trying to move out of my comfort zone and take more challenges.  I like the set so I will need to do more coloring practices.  I am buying more stamps that would allow me to use my colour pencils and copic markers. Awesome challenge and can't wait for others.

Tattered Time - CCCC #22 Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Challenge

This is a Tattered Time Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge (CCCC #22).

This was pretty cool.  I have not used this cartridge in a longtime.  I used my gypsy to create this card.  On the gypsy it is icon #35 for the flower.  I used the shift shadow flower, shift window flower and blackout flower and I copied it and connected them together.  I also used prima flowers.  I aslo used Tim Holtzs distress stains - antique linen, smooch spritz - clear shimmer and bronze.  The entire flower was cut at 4.5.

Throwback Thursday Challenge! ~ Episode 209

I know it has been a while.  It has been crazy busy and I finally got a chance to do a challenge.  To over at My Creative Time Throwback Thursday Challenge.  You had to use either "Wild CardOR "Just Because" cartridges and incorporate some EMBOSSING somewhere on any project of your choice! You can dry or heat emboss, whichever you prefer! So I used the "Just Because Cards" cartridge and used the apple on page 46 and cut everything at a size of 8.9.  I used clear stickles on the leaves; cuttlebug "swiss dots" on the red part of the apple; I used ribbon from stampin'up and finally chose cuttlebug die "sliders (2x2) for the buckle and Studio G for the ink.  The sentiment is from My Pink stamper " family and friends".
