TechieScrapper Update

Well it is the weekend and I and looking forward to getting my creative juices flowing.  Being a Dual military family with kids does not allow a lot of free time during the week to be creative.  I am going to put this weekend to good use and veg-out in my little scrapping corner.  Hope to have some cool pages or cards to upload.

 card is 4x6 kraft cardstock
red cardstock cut 3 3/4 x 5 3/4
Cricut "sweatheart" cartridge
  - cherub shadow colored black and cut at 4inches
  - white cherub cut at 4 inches
- the girls wrote a little something to their teacher inside to go along with the box of chocolates.  A quick 10 minute card made easy with the cricut Imagine.
- the picture is not that great of a quality but working to get better.

Matchbox Valentine's Card

This is the first year that I did not buy a box of Valentine's Day cards for my girls.  I made a total of 50 of these cards.  Took a lot of work but it was definately relaxing.  Here is the list of supplies I used to make this card:

Matchbox Valentine Card
- cut Micheals Kraft cardstock to 3x8

- fold on the 1 and the 3 inch lines
- on the 1 inch side use the Tim Holtzs stapler and staple on both sides and cover with the red 1x3 cardstock
- use the "will you be mine" stamp with colorbox cranberry
- use the "kissing birds" stamp with Versafine black ink
   - color the birds with At You Spica red and black pens (let dry)
- stamp front of card with HeroArts cling "Hugs and Kisses" using colorbox cranberry ink
- color in the flowers with At You Spica Red and Black pens
- add clear stickles in the middle and allow to dry
- color in the tiny circles with Copic RV29 Crimson

12 Month Scrapbook Challenge - February

Keeping with the 12 Month Scrapbook Challenge with Creations with Christina.  I tried doing sewing on the page.  So for one I hand stitched too many threads but this was the first-time I did any sewing on my pages.  I used foam thickers and used a Micheal's $1.00 pink ink pad to color the letters from white to pink.  My journaling was accomplished in MS word and used Word and shaded the journaling block in pink.

12 Month Scrapbook Challenge - January

As you know I love to watch podcasts and videos.  The one I love to watch is Creation with Christina(link on my blog title page).  She has established a challenge to create a 12 Month Scrapbook.  We last year, I turned 40 so I decided to do "Year at 40" album.  This was my January page since it is my birthday month.  My album is 8x8.  The green background paper is by Brazzil.  I used rubon's for the month.  I took pictures of all the gifts I received and used the Marvy Uchida scallop to cut them out.  The picture is 4x6 and the brown background is Brazzil.  I used some ribbon from Micheals(not sure of the brand).  The brad I made with my I-Top, I so love that tool.  The journal sheet came from a $1.00 pack from Micheals.  I am so bad about writing things down.  This is the first-time that I am posting a project of my for all to see.  I started scrapping in August 2004.  So I am by no means an expert and I still have a lot to learn about "rules of 3", colors and visulaization, etc.... so enjoy.

Christmas Card 2009

This is one of the Christmas cards I created.  All done with a acrylic stamps by Our Craft Lounge "snow place like home".  I stamped the images on heavy card stock, cut out and mounted on dimensionals and used Martha Stewart christmas snowflakes.  Card size is 4 1/4x6 purple card, layered card 4x5 3/4 dry embossed using the cuttlebug.
All done with a acrylic stamps by Our Craft Lounge "reindeer kisses" Stampendous brown and white flocking. Copic markers were used on the reindeer and the Santa prior to flocking. Both cards were made last year at Archiver's christmas card class. Really love the stamps.
