Christmas Cards 2012

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year I think I covered all of the bases.  It has been far too long since I have made a post.  I do hope to be more regular on posting.  It has definitely been a hard 2 months for our family and we are mustering through it.  So for that I have not been very creative let alone wanting to create anything just for fun.  But it is the holiday season and I love making cards and sending them to family and friends.  I only used my Cricut on two cards and the rest are stamps.  My new favorite markers are Stampin Up.  I just love how everything coordinates together.  These cards I made for my co-workers but they do not know it yet.  Disregard the small magnets.  I purchased the scrap'n'easel and the scrap'n easel ette from Contain Ya Crafts .  I so love them.  It makes doing cards and page layouts easy.  Why did I buy both -- well I have one area of my craft sp...

Cricut BIrthday Card -CCR and Wild Card 2

It has definitely been a long while since I have posted any projects.  I have created a lot but have not added them to my blog.  I am currently working on an album for my In-Laws.  Plus I just had surgery yesterday so I will be on Con Leave for about a week and thought what a perfect time to catch up on some much needed projects. My youngest is turning 10 this month and she so loves her Ipod touch.  So I decided to make a card for her that presents her Ipod and her headphones that she always has with her.  The following materials listed below are what I used to make this card.  I used the Cricut Craft Room (CCR) and the new cricut cartridge "Wild Card 2".  Its one of my favorites. Items and sizes: - Wild Card 2 cricut cartridge page 40 for headphones - envelope cut at 10.931x10.77 used bazzill papaya puree medium paper - envelope insert cut at 5.333x5.167 my mind's eye Fine & Dandy Danny Boy 6x6 paper pack - card cut at 10.431x5.181 core...

Best Friends Imagine cartridge card

I pre-made this card for my Mom who's birthday is fast approaching.  I currently have a ton of cards made and I am thinking of paying it forward to some friends since I know I will never use them all.  The pre-made card is from Micheals Recollections kraft.  Micheal's recollections 8x11 white paper used to make the background for the front and inside card and for the doll.  Doll cut at 3.5.  Used My Pink stamper set "family and friends" stamp.  The ribbon is from Micheal's (yes I do buy a lot from micheals.  its the only craft store in my town).  Kept the card simple and it turnes out pretty nice.  Really loving my imagine.

Christmas Cards Part 2

This was another favorite of mine.  I am really enjoying using the cricut craftroom (CCR) with my imagine.  It still will not allow me to link my carts since the library will not load.  I even did a restore and it did not work.  So for now I just place the cart in the Imagine.  I love the Authentique 6x6 paper pack.  I used it on all of the cards.  I went to Micheals on Thanksgiving and bought 3 carts and got "jubilee" free.  One of the ones I bought was "Winter frolic".  Lots of layers on this cart.  Many more than I had imagined.  I used the ornament 1 on page 64.  All items were cut at 2.5 x 3.7.  I also used the phrase as well and cut it at 2.75 x 2.5. I also used the Marth Stewart christmas sticker borders.  Still used the micheals kraft pre-scored cards.  It was easier that way...no cutting or scoring.  The paper is a mixture of Recollections and Bazzill cardstock.  The ornament is popped up ...

Christmas cards galore Part 1

Its has been a very busy weekend.  First I want to post how thankful I am for this past year.  Family, friends and work.  I get to spend some of my weekends doing a hobby I love which sometimes it feels more of a relief and less of a hobby.  I did not brave the stores but I did brave the internet and i am now 85% to 90% complete for our girls with christmas.  I broke down and bought a new tool but I will save that for another post since it will be here on Monday.  The first series of cards were the one's listed below.  I used cricut cartridge "create a critter" page 73.  main image reindeer, layer 1 cut at 2.8 x 3.7.  I used the peachy keen "wide-eyed and bushy tail sizw 1 3/8; martha stewart christmas sticker borders, micheals recollections kraft cards (4.25 x 6.25), authentique 6x6 "wonder" paper pack.  The "joy" phrase cut at 2.8 x 1.5using bazzill green and micheal's black paper.

CRICUT CRAFTROOM - AMAZING

Well I just used the cricut craft room and made a card for my sister-in-law using the Imagine More Cards.  It was sooo AWESOME!!!!!!  I love how you can link your imagine cartridges something you can not do with the Gypsy (I still love my gypsy).  Even though it was hard to figure out how to link the cart's.  I love how you can place your items on the virtual mat and see placement.  I am so sold.  I love how you can see the entire provo cricut cartridge library and be able to play with the Imagine cart's in color.  I made the card for my sister-in-law but as I discovered I need to make it a little larger but I wanted to show the items cut.

Santa Spotted in July

Hello Fellow Crafters, I created this card for a challenge but it was a little short on design and creativity.  So I am still going to upload it and put myself out there anyway.  As they say no risks...no gains.  I used the Doodlecharms cricut cartridge and I chose the Santa on page 127.  I also used my gypsy with this project.  I really love the gypsy.  It allows you to see how each pic will be laid out on the craft sheet and it allows you to place in specific areas to better maximize all of the page and it allows you to paper piece as well.  It also will let you see if your items will fit together well before you cut.  It cuts down on mistakes.  I cut the Santa and all of the layer out at 4.5.  I used Micheal's Recollection paper since I have a lot of it and I decided that I can't buy anymore paper till I use what I have on hand.  I also used glimmer mist "silver" on the beard.  I used 10mm Pom Poms.  I also cut the sha...

Birthday cards for my Sister-in-Laws

I used the cricut cartridge "Forever Young" .  I so love this because you can do awesome layering and blackouts as well.  This is just a small taste of what you can do with this cartridge.  I also used my Cricut Imagine to cut and print.  The stamps are from Stamps For Life that I subscribe and get new ones every month.
