Barnes & Noble May Book Haul: Fantasy, Romance, and a Seven Realms Binge

I recently treated myself to a little Barnes & Noble book haul, and this stack feels like such a cozy mix of everything I love to read. It has fantasy, romance, beautiful editions, and a full series I’ve been meaning to start for the longest time. There’s something so lovely about coming home with a bag of new books and already imagining the quiet reading evenings ahead.

What I Picked Up
This haul feels especially fun because it has a little bit of everything: a few newer titles I’ve been curious about, some gorgeous Barnes & Noble exclusive editions, and four books from Cinda Williams Chima’s Seven Realms series. Altogether, it’s the kind of stack that makes me want to make a cup of hot tea and spend the rest of the day reading. Between the romance, the magic, and all the fantasy drama, I already know this is going to be such a comforting and exciting group of books to work through.

The Primal of Blood and Bone by Jennifer L. Armentrout — I was so happy to pick this one up because I’ve been wanting to keep up with this series, and the Barnes & Noble exclusive edition made it feel even more special. This is one of those books that looks beautiful on the shelf and promises plenty of big moments once I finally sit down to read it.

Heir by Sabaa Tahir — This one immediately caught my eye, and I’ve heard such wonderful things about Sabaa Tahir’s writing. The Barnes & Noble exclusive edition is especially pretty, so I’m very excited to have this one in my collection. It feels like the kind of story I’ll want to curl up with and get completely lost in.

King of Gluttony by Ana Huang — I couldn’t resist adding this one to the haul because it sounds like such a fun, bingeable read. Between the dramatic romance and the beautiful Barnes & Noble exclusive details, it felt like the perfect book to bring home. Just one more to be released to complete my collection.  I have a feeling this will be one of those stories that’s very easy to fly through in just a few sittings.

The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima — I’ve been meaning to start the Seven Realms series for ages, so finally picking this up felt especially satisfying. I love having the first book of a fantasy series in hand because it always feels like the beginning of a new little reading adventure.

The Exiled Queen by Cinda Williams Chima — Once I decided I was finally starting this series, I knew I wanted to have the sequel ready too. There’s something so nice about finishing one fantasy book and being able to reach straight for the next without any waiting.

The Gray Wolf Throne by Cinda Williams Chima — At that point, I was clearly settling in for the full series experience, and honestly, I’m very happy about it. I’m looking forward to spending time in this world and seeing how the story grows from book to book.

The Crimson Crown by Cinda Williams Chima — I had to pick up the final book too so I could have the whole quartet together. Seeing the full set on my shelf is so satisfying, and it makes me even more excited to start the series knowing the entire story is waiting for me.

One of my favorite parts of this haul is bringing home the full Seven Realms quartet. There’s something especially comforting about having an entire fantasy series lined up on my shelf, ready for whenever I want to keep reading just one more chapter. I’m really hoping this becomes one of those series that feels easy to sink into and hard to stop thinking about.

Overall, I’m so happy with this Barnes & Noble haul. It feels like the perfect balance of exciting new reads, beautiful editions, and a fantasy series I’ve been wanting to start for such a long time. Now all that’s left is deciding what to begin with first, which might honestly be the hardest part.
