Birthday Card

I made this card for one of my newest niece and nephew who happens to be a twin.  I decided not to make them the same card since they are fraternal twins (boy/girl).  I did not want to make them the same card and have one blue or pink.  I decided to go in a total different direction and try out some new techniques to challenge myself a little bit.  The label is from Spellbinders.  Ribbon is from Michael's 1.99 bin.  The stamps are from Stephanie Bernard.  I placed the line stamp directly on the card.  IU stamped the flags and cut them out and pop dotted them up to give a 3-dimenstional look.  The card is 5x5 square.  I kind of feels more of a masculine card size.  I definately could have spaced the flags a little better to make it look more uniform.

A Birthday Card for a Awesome Neice

I make this card for my neice who turned 15 today.  I have a membership with The Stamps of Life by Stephanie Bernard.  All of her stamps allow the two stamping method.  I used copic markers on the vase but I should have used a thicker paper to avoid the bleeding effect.  I raised the vase and large flower on pop dots.  I also used chalk inks to give it that vibrant color.  It's a 4x6 card

Emma's Birthday Card

I made this card for my neice who is a twin to my little nephew.  The owl is from one of my cricut cartridges (I can not think of which one at the moment--will post the name later).  Its a 4x6 card.  I used the fiskars leaf border punch.  The stamps are by Stephanie Bernard.  I really love this owl.  I used my Cricut Imagine to get the owl the color I wanted to match the card.  I so love that machine.  I do love picking out paper but in a pinch I just pick a color and print.  It's one of my best scrapbook tools I bought and so worth the money.

A Time To Dance

A Time To Dance:  This was the first day my girls started taking jazz lessons.  So I wanted to scrap the memory.  I also wanted to try something new.  I have never used buttons in a layout before let alone as a frame for my pictures.  I used two different Cricut cartridges on my Imagine (lyrical and Imagine more cards), the paper is by Basic Grey and the ribbon is from the dollar bin at Michael's.  Can't remember the name of the company for the buttons but I bought them from Archiver's. The scallop dot punch is from Martha Stewart and medium brass brads are from making memories.

All About Me - March

I labeled this month "A Time of Reflection".  I used Adobe Photoshop on the picture and rub on flowers.  I typed my journal entry because I had a lot to say.  About losing weight, being a dual-military family (my husband and I are both Air Force), being a better Mom, etc.. so I wanted my picture to look as if I am reflecting on the past, current and future.  The edges are heat embossed and I used the edging punch.  So I tried out a lot of techniques on this 8x8 page.  I'm pretty proud of this page.
